Among some of the traditional festivities, Marbella honours the patron Saint Bernabé, around the 11th of June and San Pedro de Alcántara, around the 19th of October. They celebrate pilgrimages on the 3rd of May, the “Romería a la Cruz de Juanar” and the “Romería de San Bernabé” in June. “Virgen del Carmen” on the 16th of July, is a very important celebration because they worship the virgin that traditionally protects the fishermen at sea.
